California Mini Truck was founded in 1978 by Ron Wehby, who purchased the undeveloped parcel of property from his father ‘Pops’ Wehby. Originally zoned as Pomona, it became part of the City of Montclair in the late 1980’s.
Abandoned on the empty property was a 1953 Dodge Milk Truck which became California Mini Trucks first office. Over the years we have expanded our office space to 3900 sq. feet, warehouse/garage 10,000 sq. feet & dismantling area 1600 sq. feet.
Originally established to be a one stop shop for all ‘mini-truck’ needs, Ron purchased three Datsun 620’s, one 521 and three Toyota Hilux pickup trucks from the local auction.
